Menlyn Towers

Client: Private Client

I was appointed as professional Landscape Architect in collaboration with Newtown Landscape Architects to develop the landscape concept and to produce a landscape development plan for Menlyn Towers in Atterbury, Pretoria South Africa.

Menlyn Towers is a multi-story commercial office building with basement parking and a communal plaza on the first-floor deck. Our scope of works included the soft landscape design and plant species proposal. A requirement was to use only indigenous plants.

Aerosud

Client: Aerosud

As professional Landscape Architect, I was tasked with the completion of the landscape development plan for the Aerosud Campus in Pretoria, South Africa.

The scope of works included hard and soft landscaping. The focal points of the design were the entrance and the public square whilst creating a boulevard for the vehicular traffic. Public open spaces were proposed around the campus and concentrated along important areas within the pedestrian circulation network.

Only indigenous plants were proposed and all materials for the hard landscaping were locally manufactured.

Aerosud - Entrance

As professional Landscape Architect, I was tasked with the design and implementation of the Entrance landscape for Aerosud in Pretoria, South Africa

The scope of works included soft landscaping and only indigenous plant species were used.

Aerosud - ATCC Building

Client: Aerosud

As professional Landscape Architect, I was tasked with the design and implementation of the Aerosud ATCC Building landscape for Aerosud in Pretoria, South Africa

The scope of works included soft and hard landscaping. The design had to be integrated with the exiting landscape, some plant species were re-used. Only indigenous plants were proposed and all materials for the hard landscaping were locally manufactured.

Soshanguve Shopping Centre

Client: Private Client

As freelance Landscape Architect I was tasked by Newtown Landscape Architects with the concept development for the Soshanguve Shopping Centre landscape in Soshanguve, South Africa.

The site presented an ecological sensitive wetland area which had to be incorporated in the design. A rehabilitation zone was established to ensure that the wetland area was preserved.

Provision was made to accommodate the existing pedestrian movement patterns and integrate the existing taxi rank and informal vendors.

Tree planting was introduced to the parking areas to create shaded parking and to comply with council requirements.
